Welcome To Christ The King

Christ the King is a member of the Anglican Mission International, a chapter of the worldwide Anglican Mission.  The Anglican Mission exists to help start and sustain faithful Christian ministries and churches around the world within the Anglican Communion, an 80 million member church.

For Christ the King, it means that most of our clergy serve under a Bishop in Africa.  This allows us to have their spiritual covering and to continue to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ freely.  For our church, it means that we will often dedicate our resources to helping our partners in Africa, Latin America and Canada.  We believe the church is an international body and we are doing our part to participate in what God is doing around the world.

While we focus our efforts on the international work of the church, we still believe in an engaged, serving local parish.  Christ the King regularly hosts our international bishop partners and also works to serve the people of Ocala in a Christlike way.

We are a friendly church. Although we are all very different, we have one thing in common. Each of our lives has been deeply impacted by the love and forgiveness of our Savior Jesus Christ. He in turn has filled our hearts with love and forgiveness for one another. This is characterized by our joyous greetings and the care and concern we express for one another whenever we gather together to worship.

We are a family church. We have people of all ages. There are both multigenerational families in our church as well as individuals for whom this is their only family. We go to great lengths to celebrate the family because not only did God ordain it as the basic unit around which we should organize ourselves as a society, but He also organized the church as a family. We take seriously the Biblical teachings that the church is not something you go to, it is something you belong to. We are the family of God.

Finally, we are a faith-filled church. We hold a certain set of beliefs to be true and live our lives accordingly. We believe, for example, Jesus died for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe He was raised from the dead and that one day when He returns all who trust in Him will live with Him forever. We believe in answered prayer. We believe in miracles. We believe that any man or woman, regardless of their circumstances, can be made new and whole and clean by the power of God. This faith fills our church and affects everything we do
