Meet on Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 in the church office building.
We gather together to knit, crochet or quilt while visiting with one another, encouraging each other and teaching newcomers or beginners these crafts. Thus far we have created over 75 prayer shawls, baby blankets and lap throws. We also knit and crochet helmet liners for our troops serving overseas.
All items are prayed over while we are making them and then finally blessed by Fr. Don or Fr. Matt on completion. "Prayer shawls" are then distributed to those who are in need of comfort, care, compassion, or blessing.
We welcome anyone gifted in knitting, crocheting, or quilting. Also, if you would like to learn one of these skills, our group is filled with knowledge and competence to guide beginners to a new level of proficiency. We can even provide the yarn for your project.
With enough interest, we would also like to start a Tuesday noon group. We are always looking for new members and the gifts you produce are cherished by those receiving them.
This minisistry is one of prayer and care for others started by Gail Tuck in September of 2008.
