Mission Trip to El Hogar Elementary School
Our mission team of 8 members traveled to the El Hogar Ministries in Honduras May 15-22, 2010. If you missed the slide show, then you can just click here to view Part 1 of the video and Part 2, click here.
The team received the complete El Hogar experience, starting at the El Hogar (the Home of Love and Hope) Elementary School. They also traveled to the Santa Maria Technical Institute and then to the Agricultural School and Farm in Telanga. At these three sites they witnessed the sincere dedication and love of the directors and staff of El Hogar for the children. An estimated total of 239 children receive a Christian home and an education they would otherwise not have an opportunity for.
The primary project of this mission team was to provide dental care for these young children, many of whom had never received dental care in their lives.
If any of the members of the team had doubts or questions as to why they had committed to this trip, the Holy Spirit erased all uncertainties quickly for each and every one of them. The week of experiences for each member will continue to provide a lifetime of memories of love and hope exhibited by the children.
