We worship God in our services using the patterns of traditional Anglicanism as provided in the American Book of Common Prayer. The typical Sunday service has at least the following elements:
An opening hymn
An opening statement and prayer
Readings from Scripture
A reading from a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John)
A sermon
General prayers
A confessional prayer
An exchange of the "peace" (people in the congregation greet eachother and say "peace" or "the peace of the Lord.")
Announcements
Preparation of the altar for Holy Communion.
The offering of bread and wine to God for use in Holy Communion.
Prayers over the bread and wine.
Distribution of the bread and wine to baptized Christians.
A prayer of thanksgiving and commitment
A closing hymn.
Besides Sunday services, we also have a healing service on Wednesdays and additional services during Holy Seasons. You can learn more about our services on this website or check our calendar to see our schedule of services in advance.
